This was my first free retouching of an old photograph.  This aerial photograph of an old farm in Northeast Kansas was taken over 40 years ago and the original print has been hanging on the clients’ wall, being damaged from exposure and of course, the scan intensified problems with the original print.  Here’s the before picture, sent to me by the clients:

The retouch of this photograph took several hours and multiple attempts and after discussion of the photograph with the clients, they indicated the farm and outbuildings were the part of the picture they were most concerned with.  Ultimately, they were very pleased with the end result below:
