New Year’s Eve – Big Al’s Country Club in Post Falls
Since Susan works at Big Al’s Country Club in Post Falls, Id. and I didn’t have an event to shoot, she asked the owner if I could shoot the event.  Of course, Big Al’s does not typically have a photographer in the house so people were kind of skeptical, at first.  I was reminded of the time Susan and I were stranded in Ensenada, the victims of a drunk driver totaling our car in Mexico.  We were sitting in Pollo Feliz, a fantastic little restaurant in Ensenada, where you can get 1/2 a fire roasted chicken, french fries, tortillas, chips and salsa for about $4.50  and an older Mexican man with a severely deformed arm and an antique Polaroid camera with bellows approaches you for your picture.  Of course, you feel sorry for him and get your picture taken.  Mexican culture seems to encourage charity in small services – think little kids with Chicklets.  I digress – I felt like the old Mexican man trolling the night club, “Picture? Can I take your Picture?”  But hey, I got to spend New Years Eve with my love and 1000 drunks.  The live act, Copper Mountain Band, rocked the house and people were having a great time.  The whole gallery can be viewed here.  Here are some shots:
